Tópico: BPM meter?

Hi all i hope i find you all happy and groovesome, Its Summer here and its sunny and lovely...
(apart from a Laptop thats decided to get a bit glitchy!!!)

ok, so i just got some CDJ's they are Pioniere 202's they work fine but only have pitch control meters not BPM meters...
is there a meter that can be fitted between the CDJ's and the mixer?
Or can i run the CDJ's through my RMX and Laptop, using the RMX as the Mixing Console, Crossfader and Effects unit?

Oh by the way, VDJ is MUCH more fun than straight mixing, though!!!

There are meters that you can get and there not that expensive, but why not just learn to mix properly?

Only then will you be as one and in full control.
 
Ha yes, you have a point, though i am very happy with my Lappy (& RMX) so i dont even intend to use them, they are for the more prescious ov our DJ brethrin who think CDJ's are the only way to mix and got all sniffy when i said they didn't have a little, easy to see BPM meter. So thought i get one if cheap enough. But yes your right, they should be able to do it by ear i suppose.

Just count the beats for 30seconds and X's that by 2 and BOOM your BPM. Or count for 15seconds and X's by 4. And yes VDJ is way more FUN!!

Sorry little lady I still use turntables, lol!! But yeah its all about having fun no matter what!!

Get a Mixer with a BMP Counter, you can manually tap the beat out... (I.E DJM 400 600, 700, 800)

I can mix without a BPM Counter but it does help with your music selection for quick mixing
and fast to slow transitions...

Behringer used to make a nice unit...MiniBeat 800...cost about £40 or so, but I think it's been discontinued...
 
ok new laptop bought, old gone back to have motherboard tweeked... Problem with Dell Latitudes running NVIDIA graphix cards and GPU!!!

300 sponduies later and VDJ is full installed and working on the replacement lappy....


i love digital DJing again... but dont let my new laptop hear this!!!
