Is there a way via function that one could reset the record marker to 12o'clock simply on its own, without a cuepoint?

No, the Disc marker can be set to 12 o clock only if a Cue point is set/triggered and the setting AutoDiscmarker is set to Yes.

Why not set a cue point and delete it in one script? Is there reason you're avoiding using a cue?

Locodog, since it would only be temporary I didn't see the need of a cue, but you have the right idea - Create, Execute and Delete all in same macro. Thanks!
