Tema: State of Spotify Integration as of August 2017

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hello, I am a casual user of VDJ8 (8.2). I have no physical hardware controllers/decks - I just love VDJ for it's fun way to play music and it's fantastic auto mix for around the home, and occasional kids disco. And so up to this point, I have had no real need for purchasing or subscribing to a VDJ license - until hearing about Spotify integration earlier this year.

I have tried to find out more details about the features and limitations of the integration with VDJ, but only found much earlier posts to earlier this year. So if someone can answer a few questions please!
1) Is it reliable?
2) Can I play Spotify playlists?
3) Can I add to or delete songs from a Spotify playlist?
4) Can VDJ play Spotify songs that are locally cached (pre-downloaded)? I.e. if I go somewhere where there is no internet/wifi available, can I play songs that were previously cached?

#4 is pretty important to make this usable (and worth subscribing for).

Thanks in advance for any information on this.

Unfortunately, #4 is a no.

As stated above: No download to cache/offline option
That's by design (Spotify won't allow it), so that probably wont change
Download to cache/offline options only exist for the Content Unlimited and the Pulselocker streaming options

Also you need a Pro VDJ license to use it (besides a subscription with Spotify)

Answers to 1-3 is yes
But also the download speed is very limited with Spotify
This is not the case with Deezer, which is why I prefer that
