3) We have discovered that the latest Firmware 1.05 released in June 2018 from Pioneer has changed the way effects work with device.
We have prepared an update that will come this week to address those changes.
For this reason it's required that all users should re-create their default audio setup to remove fxprocessing lines from their audio configuration, and also use the updated default mapper.
A separate / special announcement will be made for these changes as soon as the update gets released.

Hi mate. Is this updated mapper already available?
Thanks

Hi,
FX works now, but you have so set now pre fx in option , not post fx - And others good changes.

Pre/Post effects can still be used by changing the appropriate setting in VirtualDJ settings (fxprocessing)
What's missing is the ability to feed the analog signal of DDJ-1000 to VirtualDJ, for VirtualDJ to apply software effects on analog sources
That's not fx pre/post, but Fx send/return (also known as fx insert)
This ability (to apply software effects on analog audio sources) has been disabled by Pioneer in their June 2018 firmware update.

But in DDJ1K-settings : the option is set on MONO by default for master output, and booth output. (not STEREO)

(Checked with a phase test (Right/left/center) .wav file and with master VU meter)

The mono/stereo option doesn't route to headphone, have to check with speaker connected do master XLR/RCA out of the DDJ-1000 and Booth output.

It's dangerous

Can you fix this quickly ?

Thanks for this great work :)

Olivier

These settings are applied by device FIRMWARE (not VirtualDJ) and VirtualDJ cannot alter the way they work.
In settings page though, you can clearly see where these settings will apply. The caption of the settings page is clear:
Master settings, Booth Settings, MIC Settings e.t.c.
http://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/pioneer/ddj1000/settings.html

Also Pioneer provides different options for Booth, and different options for Master.

Finally keep in mind that while VirtualDJ respects your settings (it reads them from the device when you connect it), Rekordbox DJ will override / overwrite them according to the adjustments you do inside Rekordbox.

PS: All the settings pads will toggle their leds on/off. So it's easy to check if an option is enabled or not.

It's currently on EA (Early Access) stage. This means that it's included on latest Early Access build

It's not detailed in the change log so how do people actually know?

As I said, an official announcement will be made once the EA build goes public.
Also, it's not the mapper that's on EA. It's the build. Once the build gets clearance to go public, we will announce what changes DDJ-1000 users must do on their systems.

Does this mean that the DDJ-1000 will work more like the 1000SRT in VDJ now?
Are there still limitations on the 1000?
Thanks.

What "more like 1000SRT" actually means ?

DDJ-1000 and DDJ-1000SRT are both supported on their full capacity.
However these models have differences on the way they work.

DDJ-1000 is MIDI mixer, DDJ-1000SRT is Hardware Mixer.
DDJ-1000 is software effects, DDJ-1000SRT is Hardware Effects
DDJ-1000 shows cover art and waveform data among with cue-points on jog, DDJ-1000SRT does not.

You can't get one unit to perform more like the other. They are pretty much two different units sharing the same physical layout.
