Tema: "mix now" - fade transition? (sudden = bad)

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

When I click "mix now", the currently playing song stops / cuts suddenly. The word "mix" seems a misnomer. Is there a way to make "mix now" initiate a cross-fade transition?

Usually it is 4 beats, but can be changed using the automixSkipLength setting

Thanks. automixSkipLength is set to 4.000000, but still there is no transition - just a sudden cut. I've experienced this with 100+ songs. (Not just sometimes, every time.)
Anyone know what's awry?

Check automix type in the Automix settings

Ah yes. That explains it. Smart mix was causing problems (bad mixes), so I changed to no mix. I presumed that only applied to automated song transitions, not manual transitions. I'm back to using Fade - Remove Silence. "Mix now" works with any setting except "none", aka "no mix" in the options panel.

might not be for you , and needs dualdeck automix,
but instead of mix_now try this

automix 0 & param_bigger crossfader 0.5 ? crossfader 0 & mix_now 10000ms & deck 2 sync & repeat_start 'rsAMGoAgain' 10000ms 1 & automix 1 & deck 1 unload : crossfader 1 & mix_now 10000ms & deck 1 sync & repeat_start 'rsAMGoAgain' 10000ms 1 & automix 1 & deck 2 unload

the 10000ms could be dynamic [works on beats] with some script maths, it also allows a sync mix without automix reverting to quartz
