DO NOT RUN ANY DJ SOFTWARE WITH VIRTUAL PC for MAC. Virtual PC for Mac alows you to run another operating system on a Mac HOWEVER, Virtual PC does let software have direct access to hardware. PLUS it uses a TON of RAM to run.

Your best bet, since from what Ive seen, VDJ Pro for Mac has yet to OR is just beginning the Beta faze. It may be another month or 2. STAY WITH YOUR PC until VDJ comes out for Mac. VDJ Pro for Mac will be a FREE download anyway for Pro users once it's ready. Then (if you dont have one) invest in a Mac.
I have to say, Mac's operating system is a lot more stable.

If you have an INTEL MAC, then I heard BootCamp runs a lot better with VDJ Pro, HOWEVER, there is no video mixing with it.

I believe intel macs are the MacBooks, and Mac Pros.
I REALLY RECOMMEND IF YOUR USING VDJ A LOT especially MIXING VIDEO, STICK WITH THE PC FOR A LITTLE WHILE LONGER. Is shouln't be to much longer now.

ALL MACS HAVE USED INTEL PROCESSORS SINCE AUGUST OF LAST YEAR!!!

Video mixing works FINE on any Intel Mac (using Boot Camp and VDJ Pro for windows) STRAIGHT FROM THE DVI PORT with a dedicated graphics card (MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, iMac) and NOT so well with Macs that use integrated/shared graphics (MacBook, Mac mini) although a couple of users have reported otherwise about the fact that video mixing works fine on integrated/shared graphics Macs.

It seems to be that "working fine" for some is no where near "working fine" for others.

The ONLY time that video does not work sraight out of the box with a Mac is when a VIDEO ADAPTER (DVI to VGA, DVI to Composite/S-Video) is used, in which case you also need a video scan converter which are not that costly.

That video appater issue should be resolved with when the final version of Boot Camp (it will be called something else) comes out in Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard very shorty.

SpeedDemon, I honestly don't see where you're coming from in your post or why you posted it. It seems to have a lot of guessing and unconfirmed non-facts in it. Do you have a mac? Do you use it to mix videos with vdj? I'm just having trouble understanding your post.

Aside from SpeeDemond29's incorrect information, he is absolutely correct in advising people to not use virtual pc to run VDJ windows for Mac at all.

That's crappy software made by crappy miCrapsoft. ;)

(since they bought it from Connectix in 2003).

I use vdj a lot and bout to use it at major shows in nyc area on my bootcamp macbook pro using vdj pro been using it since 2.06 . i use it now love it better than traktor 3.2 and vdj has stepped up it's sound in new one enough now. I usaully use my djm-800 and cdj 1000 mk'3's buy my next show i'm gonna run wit vdj intergreted in with my setup wit herc controller. i have it set it now it sounds so amazing better than it ever did in my pc. if you can afford a mac anyone i think you should get one. it's my own personal opinnion. it took a little work on my part but now after the work the sound made me want to cry. i never knew vdj could rock like this. and if the mac one is as good as i have it on boot camp it will be tough to swicth back maybe. i like using both os's actually.

as i said previously its designed to test rudimentary things , when techies are making a system image

it was never intended for more than basic operations and it looks like ms wont add any thing either
