The sorting bug (VDJ refusing to sort by name, bpm etc) is still not fixed. Previous thread was closed as the problem was said to be fixed in 5.06, but i still prevails in 5.07.

This I think I first noticed in rev4. I have the same bug on two different laptops, vista and xp.


Fix it please! ;-) It's such a nag!

There is obviously something wrong with your systems as everything sorts fine on all systems that I have running the latest version.

How are you trying to sort your browser, clicking on a column heading ?

yes. that's what I do.

I don't see how it can be my system though... As I said I have the same problem on two different laptops. Tried reinstalling XP SP2 on one of them, and running a fresh SP1 Vista on the other. sorting is working fine most of the time, but sometimes after an hour or more it just stops working. Sometimes the two upper tracks in the list changes place, sometimes perhaps four of them (and it seems random) but not all of them. And this goes for BPM, name, artist etc.

Are you using the coverflow?

yes, I am. And there is a bug there as well, but that should probably be another thread... I can not choose cover from the local WMP library...

Ok so your sorting bug should be fixed in the next release. It appeared when you tried to sort a column after moving the covers in the coverflow.

Ok, that's whats causing it? I can't seem to reproduce it though... Seems kinda random.

Just one question, to be sure, when you say "moving the covers in the coverflow", you mean browsing them, right?

Yes browsing the covers (and not author-title) with the mouse

so when is this magical new release about to happen, i have a new dell xps 1330 with vista and i'm having serious issues all the time, and everything is random so almost imposible to see what the issues are.i tried almost everything.

For the moment, it's still in development.
I can advise you to use the skin "CUE RMX by Cioce". There is a text zone above the balance knob. If the word "Sorting" doesn't disappear, it means that you couldn't sort anymore until you restart the software. It's all I can tell you currently.

Is this still a bug in VDJ? I have the same issue...
