Dear All VDJ 5.08 is out on Mac only it resolves issues with the RMX not being detected in the pro version on osx.

All registered customers can now upgrade in the download center , if you have recently purchased VDJ and have not yet added your serial please do so to your profile.

does this new update only give support for the rmx controller or is there any other fixes etc over using 5.07?

I have not seen any other information about this release.

5.1 giving new features and fixes will be released soon after.

I will test 5.0.8 on Mini Mac of my friend soon, I hope the Midi Out for Hercules MK2/MP3 is now fixed and leds will work fine.

The Pioneer CDJ-400 is now full supported on MAC version, MacOS X 10.3.8 or above support it without any driver.

Im actually working on that now it will be released very soon when we are sure it will work well.

Are there any big (known) issues with the 400s and Cue? I'm getting sick of my iCDX's cutting out in the middle of dance sets and popping up the Video window, despite it being disabled...

Plus, you can't f***ing scratch on them.

I don't remember fine now but I hope you can disable all the Video engime in the Video options to solve for the moment this problem, Team are at work to fix it.

Ps. Today I have done a fast test with 5.0.8 on Mac book with Leopard 10.5.2, Hercules RMX - Total Control and M-audio Fast Track PRO all ok, VDJ rocks on MAC ;)

Hi folks I've had the new Rmx for about 3 weeks now (its the bomb) and have been waiting to upgrade to the pro version, obviously once the Mac issue was resolved. But I read that 5.1 will be a fuller more comprihensive upgrade to the 5.08 fix. Anyone know if it'd be better to wait until that arrives? and will we still be eligible to the discount (the one offered by the site when I bought and registered my rmx and VDJ c Home edition) for upgrading to 5.1?

The problem with the rmx and VDJ pro it's solved.

V5.08 it's available for the pro users (i have it), and it's working fine (i have the rmx too)

If you buy this version, you don't have to pay more when the 5.1 or 5.x arrives.
I must say... you'll never have to pay anymore for the next versions till ... ... ... year of 2528, je je!!

You will always have the discount, of course.

Hey i have the Numark Cue mac version 4.3 and not able to update to the 5.08 in the download center
i only have the option to choose from the PC version 5 or the MAc version 4.3
i have bougth the version i have and registered it and its supose to be the pro version.... so i dont see what the problem might be

can anyone help

The version u have is the cue le version. It is a home edition n it is a gift with the controller that u bought. U need to have FULL cue pro to have the newest version 5.08.

Also folks just thought I'd mention it here, just incase anybody has an issue with this. It may be of help to them. I'm using my rmx console with my macbook 1.83 Ghz Intel Core Duo with 2GB Ram (it says that the bus power is 500mA). I've not upgraded yet to the full version of vdj 5.08, so still running the lite version that came bundled with the console. When I first got the rmx and pluged in the usb cable, I found that, the power output from the macbook was not enough to power the rmx, even while the mac was mains powered, the buttons light up on connection very briefly and then die. I get round this by using a small portable 4 port USB hub, that has a power adapter. It seems to run well with that (played a gig 4hrs straight last night, everything worked great). I don't know if it's just that my old macbook isn't up to the job , or if there is another reason. But if anybody knows what that is, I'd be interested to know why. It's not a big issue cause the extra powered usb ports come in handy for mice, drives, and a usb light, during a gig. So I'd probably be using it anyway.
