How to batch tag & rename auido and video files

Tools

Tag & Rename - Good

Flash Renamer - Really good
http://www.rlvision.com/flashren/about.asp

Both programs lets you, by simply clicking, tag & rename all your files much more efficiant and faster instead of manually typing the information.

MPEG1 video format at current settings apply for a nice acceptable quality:

Video: MPEG1 Video 720x576 25.00fps 2400Kbps
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 44100Hz stereo 192Kbps

One can always experiment using other settings, and the only thing that will increase quality, in this case, is video bitrate. When reaching over 5500-6000 kbps the idea of encoding VOB to MPEG1 is pointless - you wont save harddrive space or increase quality, which is the point of encoding them.

Recommended hardware setup for Virtual DJ with video mixing is:

Graphics
Geforce GO 7600 256 MB DEDICATED VIDEO RAM ,- or above
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 256 MB DEDICATED VIDEO RAM ,- or above

Warning sign = HyperCache, Intel GMA 950 and HyperMemory.
These cards share VIDEO RAM with INTERNAL RAM, and simply isn't enough for video mixing.

Processor
Dual-core processor 1,6 GHz or higher
Intel: Core 2 Duo
AMD: Turion 64 2X

Internal RAM
2048 MB RAM,- enough for videos, effects, tc vinyl's/cd's at the same time
1024 MB RAM,- minimum

Harddrive
7.200 RPM HD SATA-150,- recommended
5.400 RPM HD SATA-150,- common, still OK

Sound card
USB based 4.1-5.1 sound card,- recommended
Firewire based sound card,- better, doesn't interfere with other USB devices

Display
15,4" TFT WXGA,- recommended and supported for most skins
17" TFT WXGA+,- nescessary if you want the full-size keyboard - problems with many skins

Confirmed mobile video card specs that works fine for video mixing with VDJ:

* nVIDIA Geforce GO 7600 128-bit 256 MB DEDICATED DDR2 VIDEO RAM

* ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 256-bit 256MB DEDICATED DDR3 VIDEO RAM

ATI Mobility X1800 256-bit 256 DDR3 RAM
17" wxga+ 1440x900

I'm a deejay in Sweden since 6 years now. Started over 3 years ago with VDJ, and also
using TCV's on my Stanton STR8-80's, which is great.
Playing in Örebro on, hopefully, regular basis on one of the bigger places in town.
I'm playing mostly new music but also the old classics from the 50's and newer.

Currently I have migrated over to use videos for some events with great success!
