I started out playing music for my friends' parties about 5 years ago using software not much better than Itunes. After a few parties I decided I should get some better gear and learn how to DJ properly. I bought a cheapest second hand pair of Turntables and mixer I could get and learnt to beatmatch. I then upgraded to SL1210 Mk5Gs, a DJM800 and Virtual Vinyl. Now I have ditched the 1200s in favour of an EKS Otus which is proving most capable for everything but scratching and has a much smaller footprint. I live in Auckland New Zealand and play mostly mobile for parties and also run lighting for club parties. |
