Hello,
After upgrading to the v8.5-64 b6106 version on my PC, I've got a bug : when I edit a file tag, then click ok, VDJ and my computer are freezing.
Is anybody else have this problem ?
This bug is not appearing on my MAC with the same version.

When I rename a tag ,it starts checking the history folders and checking default.once this start ,it could take over 2 hours,or it becomes unresponsive and freezes up

It also freeze when importing a backup database.

no issues here editing tags on windows of a mp3 file
what type of file are you editing the tags for?
is it possible you have a corrupted file? or no write permissions to the folder where the file is stored?

They are mp3 on an external hard drive exfat (so rw for all, no ntfs to share with a Mac).
It was working with the previous version.

Resolved : VDJ must be launched in admin mode...

right so it was a permissions problem if you needed administrator rights

And it would be better to fix the permissions on the drive then instead of running vdj as administrator

Exfat is rw for all...
It was working fine on the previous version without being root...
I also have met some crash when modifying options in the configuration menu.
I will use my Mac version until the next update.
It is certainly a weird bug in Windows system (as always)...

I've just uninstall and reinstall the application from scratch. It seems to fix all my problems.
It also works without being an admin.

It appears your crash might be related to the CoverFlow, so you might want to try to disable that and see if it makes a difference.

Depuis la nouvelle mise à jour effectuée ce matin Virtual DJ à planter 2 fois en plein mix en moins d'une heure ! Heureusement c'était pendant des entrainements mais j'ai un mariage dans 15 jours et j'avoue que je suis un peu inquiet... Il me semble que c'est arrivé lors du chargement d'une platine pendant qu'un autre titre était joué. à suivre...

Since the new update made this morning Virtual DJ to crash twice in full mix in less than an hour! Fortunately it was during training but I have a wedding in 15 days and I am a little worried ... It seems to me that it happened when loading a deck while another title was played. To be continued...

I just found a solution to this crashing problem.
This is a GPU bug (in my case). It seems that VDJ is having problems with cards like AMD Redeon 550X.
So I force the program to use my Intel UHD 620.
The cure : go to the options, then do a search on "gpu", then cross low power instead of default or high power.

Sorry, it works 2 hours, then freeze again also while changing or resizing a field on the file interface.

After testing hours and hours on PC and Mac witch the software works with charm...
It seems that this crashing bug is becoming only when pushing the PC view in full screen mode...
