Tema: How does VDJ SYNC work together (or not) with Hercules Inpulse 500
Hello,

I am new here and have had a Hercules Inpulse 500 since 6mnd. In addition to Djuced, I have switched to VDJ.
What I don't understand:

Can someone tell me the buttons sync on the HI500 and how they work together (or not) with VDJ.
I want to be able to decide if I want to sync or not.
Now it always syncs and would like to know how to turn this off.

These options are off in VDJ
On both decks:
BPM auto match
Key auto match
Auto sync on playback
Auto Pitch lock

and in the Options:
auto BPM Match
auto Pitch lock

I don't know where to look for it, but I want the syncing disabled.
I can't figure it out: where should I set something, and why don't the sync buttons with VDJ work like in Djuced => on or off (by choice)

Does anyone have any tips?

Hello,

Gone through the settings as per your video.

I noted that deck 1 always follows deck 2. The otherway around doesn't do that.
when playing deck 2, load a track deck 1 and play deck 1, bpm deck 1 always follows bpm of deck 2
when playing deck 1, load a track deck 2 and play deck 2, bpm deck 2 doesn't follow bpm of deck1.

Noted also that when I enable Quantize via the radio button (on both decks) both decks are playing their own bpm which is good.

So all these behaviours look a bit odd to me and also the sync button on my Hercules Inpulse 500 is close to useless as the light is alway on on both decks.

Can this be a kind of bug?
What do you think of this?

Sorry but I really don't get it ;-(

I went of the 4 deck section and loaded on
A 130 bpm
B 118 bpm
C 136 bpm
D 126 bpm
(just to see what's happening...)

Play deck B 118 bpm no problemm then while deck B still running
press play deck C 136, no issue as no synching
press play deck D 126, no issue as no synching
press play deck A: jumps to 118 BPM which is BPM of deck B

I cannot see (have no idea yet) where I can see the master deck settings on VDJ.

I gues I do something wrong, however as a newbee I have no idea where to search where to get Deck A at the BPM of the track itself.

When I start on Deck A with same 3 other decks loaded
A 130 bpm
B 118 bpm
C 136 bpm
D 126 bpm
all other deck are behaving as desired: playing its own BPM

Noted also now that Deck A is always following the latest deck activated.

Where do I have to look for?

Your description sound like auto sync on play (smart play) is enabled on one of the decks

AUTO SYNC ON PLAY is also 'off', moreover all auto settings are disabled.

it's really annoying as you might imagine...

anybody else?

Sync has been strange since my last update as well.
