My friend, you can't use the trial for more than 20 days. Must be a cracked version that you have and in that case that is why you are having problems.
So sorry can't help...

Yo maddsound,
Don't know how it is possible that I have the cracked version cause just downloaded from the official site...
Anyway...I'm planning to get the proper version but would like to know what kind of sound card best matches with atomix or VDJ. And what else I need to burn my cd's without stuttering and who knows dj'ing on party's organised by friends.
Haven't tried the VDJ software, is it much better than atomix.
What do you recommend maddsound???and Why

Why not just use the "record" feature in VDJ, and then use your CD burning software to make a CD? Why all this multitrack recording, audio editing, additional sound cards, or additional computers?
If you all can't make a flawless mix on the fly, then you should keep practicing ;)
As for sound quality, I use my Ecler Nuo4 mixer to mix, then run a line back into the LINE IN on my sound card, and the mixes come out with stellar quality. I mix only WAV's though, maybe sound quality is not so great if you are using sub-par MP3's for your mix!

I didn't mean to accuse you of anything. Please understand that I was not trying to offend you in anyway. I was referring to the fact that you said that you were using Atomix for about 8 months nw. That is impossible as the trial only lasts for 20 days. But if you have a slow computer then Atomix MP3 is the software for you. As you may of learned by now after 8 months, Atomix Productions make some great software. But if you have a faster computer, then I would suggest the better, more professional and agile Virtual DJ. By far the best software for your buck. Act now and buy V3.4 and the newest version V4 to come out very soon will be free!

thx maddsound,
Indeed my computer isn't one of the fastest, but for the moment good enough to make really some smooth, deep house
mixes, without the possibility of recording these hot mixes
And like my mom use to say, first walk and then talk if you know what I mean.
So the real problem of recording the mixes I made is first because of the trial version, second slow computer???
So a second sound card will not help me record my mixes in a proper way.
Maddsound, if so can you give me any advice what investment I should do except the fact that I have to buy the proper version of Atomixmp3(soundcard, other software,....)
thx
I appreciate it
Yo poloralph,
I already tried ton's of times the record button, and then tried to burn it on cd with Itunes, but it always stutters when I burn it on cd, just when you make the mix between 2songs.
I maybe thought the problem was because of the fact that I had only the standard sound card of windows XP.

Hmmm, that is odd.. I haven't read through the whole thread, so not sure what you've tried... But how much memory do you have? Maybe your computer is deficient in some way, even if the CPU is fast enough... You could always try recording with an external device, for example MP3 players can record sometimes... Have you tried burning a CD with different software? When you play the track on your computer does it stutter? Or only after you burn it? Or does it stutter even as you're mixing? Very strange, wish I knew how to help you, that sucks... Did you try re-installing the VDJ software? Do you have access to another sound card you could try? A basic Soundblaster is pretty cheap, could try a different sound card to see if that solves the problem... Try dissecting the problem, locate which component is screwing up, and then replace it :)

thx poloralph,
Now what my computer concerns, i still have 10 GB left, so I think that this will be enough to burn Cd's in a proper way.
The problem appears not when I am playing and making mixes, only when I try to burn the mixes that I've made.
I've tried 2software programs, Itunes and windows media player.
But I will definitely try the proposals you have made.
Will let you know how it evolves.
Thx anyway

Well by memory, I meant RAM, not hard drive space... But if you are recording the mixes, and playing them back on the computer, and there is no stuttering, then it sounds like it's the CD burning software or CD-writing drive itself that is causing the problem... Not sure why that would be if the file is playing back fine on your computer. Can you transfer the file to a different computer (a friend's, perhaps), and try burning it there? If that works then it would definitely point to the CD drive itself, or the software you're using... Good luck!
