if i understand your ? correctly you saved the sample instead of loading it and now it wont load? do you know where it saved to so you can then go back to that location:: when you attempt load it? or even move it from that saved location to the vdj sample folder then attempt to load it again?

This is kinda odd but ill try. The F1-F12 keys trigger samlpes. Vdj has its own folder for samples. If you save a new sample, it only saves it to that folder. It shouldnt have overwrote any thing. When you load a sample and you like it, click save and rename it then save. If you replace it, you should be able to retrieve it with no problem. Remember this; If you have a sample that does not start at the very beggining, you can edit it in a wave editor or find the file and put it in one of the decks in vdj and move the sample where you want it to start, make sure the deck is stopped, once you find that spot hit record on one of the banks that you want to use, then play the deck then hit record again to stop it. This is how i do it. There are also ways to map the way the sample is played. sample 1 play_stop or play_stutter. Play_stop: you hit the sample and it plays the whole sample and if you hit while it is playin it will stop. Play_stutter: Acts like piano or beat machine. If you hit the sample multiple times it will stutter. D-D-D-D-Dj Durdee
Hope this helps.

Damn P. Were writing at the same time.LOL

P is more on the right track here, I went to load a "Alarm" on a individual sampler and instead of hitting load button I hit save. Now I can't load anything on any of the samplers it just gives a blank screen under VDJ sampler folder. I need to somehow undo what I did on the individual sampler I hit the SAVE button on so everything is visible again when I hit load.

I just did what you said you did and it did not happen. Type ".vdj" or "alarm" in ur my computer search. If they show up copy and paste them back in the VDJ sampler folder. Found in my documents>virtual dj>sampler.
or when you hit load change the file location to sampler.

PS You can load a number of audio formats.

it sounds like you overode it all by saving it with "noting" instead of loading....and taking out all your previous loaded samples.... but you are saying it wont let you load any new sample...hmmm..can you not goto the vdj sample folder and manually put a sample in there to see if it will pull up..im at work i cant get the direct location of where it is from here. try that and see if that may work?

Hey yall! I recreated Dom's Problem. I made a new sample of an old one, named it the samething. VDJ ask if I wanted to replace? I clicked ok. Went to load, My files were gone. I closed and reopened VDJ and the files showed again. Maybe (my) the database had to refresh.
Just thrown' roun Ideas;)

I would like to know how to get assignement of each sample so that I can link it to a midi key! anyone ...
