Hey do I program the buttons to act as a trigger. Hmmm, how do I explain this.........ok right now when I hit a button the light comes on activates the map effect, and when I go to turn off the effect I hit the button and the light goes out, effect off. I want to be able to press the button and the light comes on but when I let go of the button the light goes off as well. I really hope that makes sense.............
Thanks for looking and your time

I want it to work like this; push the button down, the related function is activated, the light is on until i push the button again and the function is deactivated and the light is off.
Any ideas on how this works?

Ok forget all the other stuff I wrote, heres what I want.........................."holding 500ms ? video_fx_select "Boom_Auto" & video_fx", typing it in that way I have to hold to turn it on, I want to be able to hold and turn off.................hope that makes sense.

Thanks for looking

There might be a solution with some VDJ Script lines with holding and stuff. I dont know.

But let me tell you this. The definition file for Korg (and any other midi device) is based to midi notes that sends the device by pressing a key. By releasing the same key a different midi note is sent. Therefore you may try to redefine the definition file and the mapper.
What KorgNano are we talking about? The PAd or the one with the sliders?

Its the nanoKontrol (sliders) and all the 1's in the download section I didnt like so I'm doing this with the Simple Midi Wrapper. So when it come s to this "redefine the definition file" I havent a clue on how or even where to start with doing something like that. I just want the light to go out when the effect goes off and it seems like the script "holding 500ms ? video_fx_select "Boom_Auto" & video_fx" isnt gonna do it. Thanks for the input though.

try ending you line with while_pressed option

example
action="deck 1 effect "flanger" active while_pressed"

Does it work this way?

Heres the answer, video_fx_select "Negative" & down ? video_fx : video_fx
Ok so now when I push the button the effect and light come and when I push the button again the effect and light go off!!

Thanks for your help

Ok so I have found a bug when you have the nanoKontrol mapped like this, video_fx_select "Negative" & down ? video_fx : video_fx,...........the problem is when you switch scenes! What ever effect you triggered will shut off when you switch scenes.

So when you map it out this way, video_fx_select "Negative" & video_fx, its ok. You dont have to worry about your effect shutting off when you switch scenes but when you switch back the lights will stay off..............so I thought I would just give ya'll a heads up.

Thanks for your time
