Hello mates!!!

I have allot of questions, so please be patient, and i hope you can help me!!!

So,
1: aboyt video codecs, wich one (.dll) is the best, and nesecery to have!!
in device manager-video compression codecs i found several codecs like this one
- iccvid.dll
- Indeo video 5.10
- ir32_32.dll
- ir41_32.ax
- iyuv_32.dll
- msh261.dll
- msh263.dll
- msrle32.dll
- msvidc32.dll
- msyuv.dll
- tsbyuv.dll

And i can not change the priority of this files, like in the audio codecs!! its ok?? video files can use automaticaly which one is nesecery??
Do i have to dowload another one?? am i ok?? and where i can found it??

2: Which is the best programm to convert dvd files, .ifo files, and .vob files to avi/mpeg1 ???
i have now a trial of DVDzip 2.6, seems very useful, and easy to use!!
And what are the best settings, when you convert to mpeg1?? to have the best results???
-widht ??
-height ??
-video bitrate ??

don't change a thing there codec wise

iccvid.dll is a very good one to have in the number one spot. Thats cinipack by radis or power dvd.


as for ripping check out imtoo dvd ripper its a 1 step solution. or you could do it the old way and use smart ripper to extract vob's then use dvd to avi then tmpenc to encode. check out doom9 for encoding help.

Good to know.. but what is the best compromise of hd space/video quality? I will be doing this soon... Thanks.

MPEG vids seem good quality and not too large.
