Again, its easy to set the frequencies and create your own presets.
You will select two or three way tops and assign, same for the subs all based on the design specs for each speaker range.
Another plus was protection circuits.
I had lousy power once (low voltage 90 vac), and once discovered and corrected still had no sound output.
In a panic naturally, I reset the preset and bam it was back.

Some Driverack it includes the amplifier tuning, if your amps are listed in the System Setup Wizard, if not then it is recommended to create your own settings using the System Setup Wizard instead of using one on the presets settings because you need the gain structure of the amps and limiter parameters will need to be manually configured.

The ls801p are killer subwoofers, If you want great high end to mix with theses get the Yamaha DSR112 or Dsr 115s and a pole,
I have a set of Yorkville ls801p's and it takes 2 jbl prx618xlf speakers to match the output of the Yorkvilles. I recommend the yorkies over any powered subwoofer even close to their price range. and as for the yamahas they are just phenemonal. They are not in the league of the old unpowered yamahs s115V , I was skeptical until I actually headr a pair. I use EV zx5a powered speakers for my tops and I like the Yamaha Dsr112 much better and they cost half. This is My honest real world Opinion and If you have any questions feel free to ask..
HOPE THIS HELPS

Here we are again with the Driverack topic.
As some of you may know, I have QSC KW181's and EV ELX115p's. I have a DBX Driverack PA but I am not using it (yet).
I also have the powered Harbinger 18" subs that I use with powered Behringer 12" tops for smaller events.
My current issue is this. My qsc subs seem to need compression. They are loud (a good thing), provide a LOT of bass (a good thing) but the bass sounds kind of "dirty". I have too much rumble and not enough punch. The sound is too open.
I used to use my Driverack with my passive sound system and my system was AMAZING!!!!!!!
I never used the mic. I did not even own one. Never needed it.
My question is....
How do I set up my speakers with the Driverack PA to get the sound i'm looking for?
Should I trade my Driverack PA for a Driverack PX?
Does the Driverack PX have settings for my speakers (qsc KW181 and EV elx115p)?
Do I need the RTA mic to achieve what i'm looking for from my powered system?
I play Urban music. Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, House and Go-Go (D.C. Music) so I need for my crowds to FEEL the bass and not just hear it. My Bass needs to kick you in the chest, not just tap you on the shoulder.
I need some guidance cause I need my sound to sound like MY sound. In other words, I need my sound system to be bass heavy, clear, strong and LOUD with no distortion.
I need my highs to be crisp, clear, not screaming or ear piercing and LOUD.
A little guidance would be appreciated.

The yamah Dsr112s are incredible , I have a pair of evz5a and they were around 2k when i bought them and i also have a pair of the dsrs and they are as loud and as clear and actually they seem much clearer when i crank them up the so for what they cost theres not anything out there that can touch them and , with a good rcf sub or a pair of jbl 618xlfs they would be one class act set up please do not confuse the yamaha DSRr with the DXR which in my opinion is lacking in sound

Dont know why anyone would need a driverack prx, i mean if your buying new good quality powered speakers they are already tuned to perfection anyway and crossed over also?

The subs need to be compressed.
Powered systems sound good but they can sound better depending on the room, type of music you are playing, the crowd... many factors. My highs are pretty good but the lows need to be compressed to tighten the bass up.
