I think it would be valuable if someone could create an lfo plugin but make it control parameters of other effects like a midi controller. It would be good to have sine, square, triangle waves that you can select, be able to adjust rate in both Hertz and fractions, amplitude and be able to see a representation of the current wave with a custom gui.
To make it control another effect you would probably need to make a knob that is controlled by the lfo parameters but able to send midi cc or similar signal and therefor mappable.
After that was set up having it work as a separate controller you could assign things like a filter cutoff to the lfo or pan or volume etc..., it could be fun to play with.
Just a suggestion, what do you guys think
