You should search in the forum, there are lots of tutorials about how to use Virtual DJ.
Virtual DJ is a very complex software to just explain how it works through a forum

Lots of good Utube tutorial posted, LOTS!.......Just about every topic you could want to know.....The software is indeed very deep and can be complex...Just take it a piece at a time and feel fee to post any questions in the forum. Everyone here is friendly and willing to help out......

Your first stop should be a read through the user guide. The software has a lot of features and the user guide will show you the basic functions as well as the advanced. The online user manual is located here: http://www.virtualdj.com/images/pdf/VirtualDJ%207%20-%20User%20Guide.pdf
Or you can go to Documents->VirtualDJ->User Guide on your computer.
