Tópico: Android support maybe soon? or not?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

VirtualDJ iRemote is an application for iPad/iPhone/iPod touch

Is there any plans to have a smart phone android version (for HTC, Samsung, Sony etc)

It might help djs out who have a full gig but need a toilet (number 2) break maybe? lol

Thanks for swift reply

i cant wait. lol

no problem rob, though you may be waiting a while, weve all been waiting a long time already... a year or more thats for sure.

im working on getting me an iphone atm.... i can probably get an ihone before a droid app arrives

I downloaded the splashtop app for my Droid to play with it. I think it would work great for some remote access but I have to widen the display since the phone screen is too small. That's fine for pushing buttons, but I can't work any sliders with the screen scrolling.

Thanks for post, interesting

personally with an android phone i think the entire arsenal of apps are complete bollocks... there isnt one decent app to control vdj on android phones, tablets yes... phones forget it.... hence why im looking towards getting an iphone...

I think i'll be looking for a used ipad

sold mine a while ago to pay the rent cuz id been laid off.... :( stupid employers making cut backs....

Here are my comments on how to use Splashtop on a Windows 7 HOME pc over and an Android phone. It works great. The problem is selecting the right Remote desktop because windows 7 HOME does not support RDP. I have a working solution and I am happy to share what I have learned.

Also Androids to not "see" advertised ad-hoc broadcasts but do see access point wifi broadcasts on your list of networks. I explain how to set up Splashtop and to what to use to create an access point very simply for anyone to understand. You do this by turning your computer into what appears to your Android something like your router appears on your cell phone called an access point using one product. Then you use Splashtop on top of that. You can control your PC with your cell phone and it provides your desktop right on your cell phone. You can even reboot your PC from your cell phone. You run Virtual DJ in its native form without monkeying around with MIDI to wifi mapping and all that. All PC controls are routed to your cell phone and you can still run your PC live. No internet or router or cable or cell tower is required. You have only a wireless connection between your PC and your Android to establish your remote desktop and it will only cost you about 30 dollars for the solution. The user interface does not require any networking intelligence and I will offer assistance to anyone that wants to try this (based upon a Windows 7 configuration and android 3.2 cell phone). Other configurations are available too but I am not expert in all.
