Hey just a question, I have my VMS4.1 hooked up to speakers via RCA cables through the master output, was wondering why when i plug my headphones into the front of the VMS4.1 I hear the same thing that is coming out of the speakers, shouldn't I hear whats not playing?

on the front of your VMS4.1 is a knob called CUE MIX turn in all the way to CUE and you will only hear anything in the headphones when you press the cue button abow the faders for the channel you want to listen to in you headphones. turning the CUE MIX knob towards the center will open up for the master out if you need to hear a little of it in your headphones too.

Even when holding the cue button and the knob turned towards cue I get nothing out of my headphones. Any suggestions?

Yes. Ensure that your audio configuration in VDJ is correct, and that you also have your VMS set up correctly.
