Why do I have to pay more to be a member if I already bought the mixing board? Not cool.

Because, one is a hardware purchase. The other is a membership. The software was a gift from the manufacturer....

^^^This is true.. The purchase was hardware. It got me to when I first picked up my controller. I had to spend MORE>, But I did... It could be written on the box a lot more larger and clearer I suppose, but When you do buy the PRO version you will not regret it.. Its endless, And the support is great.

Premium Membership is an optional subscription service that gives you access to stream millions of songs via the Internet. Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/What%20is%20NetSearch.html
It is not the same as upgrading to the full VirtualDJ Pro. Upgrading to Pro gives you all features of the full VirtualDJ Pro software (See comparison) and the ability to download and use download all add-ons (NOTE: Purchasing Pro doesn't give you access to NetSearch. This requires a separate Premium Membership.)
If your hardware came with VirtualDJ LE included, then you should be able to upgrade at a discount by going to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html and entering your VirtualDJ LE serial number in the box provided.
VirtualDJ LE is limited software included as a free gift by the manufacturer to allow you to use their hardware straight out of the box - Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/How%20do%20I%20change%20the%20skin%20or%20use%20plugins%20in%20VirtualDJ%20LE%20or%20Console%20Edition.html

Do I only have to pay once or every month?
Mensajes Mon 16 Apr 12 @ 12:18 pm
I put my key code in and it says that I have to pay 250 bucks to upgrade. So in the end that's $350 plus shipping just to properly use the the program that I ALREADY FING BOUGHT FOR A HUNDRED DOLLARS. I want my 100 bucks back, you guys can have your program and your Hercules back. I would have never bought it if I knew.

Premium Membership (For streaming music from the Internet) is a monthly fee and you can cancel at any time - Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Cancelling%20Premium%20Membership.html
Purchasing VirtualDJ itself is a one-off fee. All updates for licensed VirtualDJ Pro users have been free to-date and there are currently no plans to change this policy.

Please note that this is free limited software and can only be used for fun mixing at home or for house parties for family/friends. You can't use it at gigs where you are being paid.

No dude, you paid $100 for the Hercules controller, the Limited Edition Virtual DJ was included as a gift so you would have an application to use with your new controller. If you plan to use these to make money as a DJ then the investment of an additional $250 is well worth it.
If this is only for fun and hobby then you have a great unit and application for $100.
As for a refund you would have to contact the shop or website from which you made the purchase.
You'll never find a better application than VirtualDJ plus the support and community are top shelf.
Hope you change your mind when you calm down and think about it a little bit.
