I tried again on Friday and it seemed to work OK for my whole gig.

So you don't need to have the Ultra-latency ON ? I'm kinda suprised, since I need it to get rid of those annoying crackles...
Forgot to mention the ASIO=-settings: Yep, Ultra-latency is on ;)
Topscooter wrote :
10 ms is a bit high, I'm sure you can switch to 4/5 ms with Ultra-latency ASIO activated.
No, I can't. I've cleaned and re-installed W7 and VDJ, no internet, virusscanner or other stuff I don't really need and optimized it. It didn't make any difference. The specs of the laptop (especially the videocard) are like the recommended specs, but it looks like that's not enough anymore. It works for me (I can live with the 10 ms latency) but the laptop is now almost 5 years old, so it's about time to get me a new one...

A bit explicit :p But... You wrote what we think about this driver. They should make a huge update...

Good news, I was ready to change my settings over and over because of this :D

Please tell me what to do when you buy a new computer. Atm, I have a 5ms latency (Ultra-latency always on). It seems to work (anyway, still a little bit of what I told in my previous post), but I don't think it'll resolve everybody's problem since our computers are not the same for everybody. I'll keep testing 5 ms for 2-3 gigs, and I'll keep you up ;) Sad I have to put it at 5ms, since I'm sure both my home computer and my laptop can clearly deal with an 1ms latency... Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing your configuration, I needed it and I'm sure all DN-MC6000 users needed it.
I'll keep this thread in mind for any Denon DJ ASIO Driver problem :)

I'll wait. With my current setup it works without issues. With a little practise I can start on the beat and mix without getting in trouble because of the 10 ms-latency.
When V8 is released the recommended specs will be known. Untill then I'll stick with what I've got...

I never knew the DN-MC6000 had a ASIO driver problem, I use the same drive for DN-MC6000 and my DN-X1600 without an issue.

Same here, I have an annoying loop problem : it mutes. And One Time I Used the Filters High & Low and the sound was cracking on the left deck.

I am so happy I'm not crazy!! i have been dealing with what i call "The Loop bug" for a while but it happens with other sound cards and controllers and only on 7.05, 7.04 and lower is fine. I am begining to think its VDJ or the skin, The level meter will freeze and the sound drops out for the side being looped. I have even taken a video of this anomaly in action.

I have been having that same issue. Have to reactivate the loop to get the sound back. It has me scared to use loops for any extended period of time. So I can install 7.04 and get rid of the bug? I use Denon 3700s and the MC-6k and have experienced it on both, so thought it was a denon issue. I'm also glad to hear I'm not the only one with this problem.

try 7.04 or 7.02 and see if that fixes it, I have yet to test my skin theory but that could be a issue, for me the loop bug was very random and some nights would only happen once on one deck, it has happened on the audio 8 sound card ,both Denon x600 and mc6000 and vestax vci100mk2 so its not a hardware issue. what laptop and skin are you using?

I use auto loop all the time and have never had that problem.
Saying that, I have been using the WDM drivers, maybe it's related to Asio only?

No, it isn't Denon specific, nor Skin specific. I don't know if it's ASIO specific but I think I had it occur once with WDM drivers too.
That been said this "bug" hit me 4 or 5 times until now. One time I was using my old Maya44 USB. The other times I was using either the MC-6000 or the DN-S3700.
I believe that once I had it occur with Audio2Dj too...

As I said. It's a known bug. It's not a common nor a frequent bug. I don't know anything about 7.1 but I believe that it will be definately fixed when the new sound engine of ver 8 comes out...
PS: I don't say that it won't be fixed now with 7.1 (I repeat that I don't have any clue about 7.1) I'm saying that since it's related with the current audio engine it should be fixed when the engine recieves an update/fix.

I am also using WDM drivers on a Dell Studio 1747, 8gb ram, i7. It is very random. I will try going back to a previous version. I rarely use auto loop. Could it be related to manually setting loop points?

From the support team:
We have some issues, with several sound cards that use Asio, We were trying to reproduce and fix that in ver 7, but without success. This bug is fixed in ver 8 (it appears so). Cant do much at the moment. But you try and see if Safe mode is enabled in Performances (Config).
This was before 7.1 was announced. Hopefully they have it fixed in that version.

Good news ! I need my 1ms latency :p
Anyway, those annoying crackles appear and don't want to disappear when you change your latency by 1 sample... I'm changing my laptop latency to 5ms (seemed to work on my home computer until I changed it to 1 sample less than before), but can't work, still crackles. I really can't go higher than 5ms, I need my hot cues and my faders so much for my gigs... A DJ who's not doing a lot of live mashup is not a complete DJ imo. That could be why I don't really like Guetta's sets...
Does someone know if restarting your laptop/computer will fix crackles after changing your latency ? Doesn't seem to work atm...

OK...........I also have had that loop problem. I thought I had done something. I am using the Denon MC60000, and the WDM drivers. I do not remember if I had this issue with other sound cards, but I'm old, so can't remember spit. I just did five nights in a row, eight hours each, at two different clubs, and did not have an issue. So this is really a random issue, but still an issue. I use auto loops all the time, and admit it can be scary, but I have large ones.

for me It is also very random and seems that when it occurs its only on one deck, one night it may happen once or twice some nights depending on how much i use auto loop it may not happen at all. It has happened on 2 different Asus laptops for me using 4 different sound cards and 3 different controllers. I have been waiting a year for a fix and while there is a work around I think i have a right to feel like its been a eternity in software time for this update.
