With the seemingly unstoppable use of pre-made transition tracks, the ability to have VDJ analyze (or even manually edit) two different parts of the song would be good. This would permit the use of two different BPM values and all of the features that come with it. I have seen videos of 8 in regards to the remix features. Seem like this should be a pretty easy thing to accomplish.

In the latest VDJ 8 video it was said that this will happen. While it won't help now rest assured it's coming.
