I purchased a Griffin DJ splitter cable that is used for djay on iOS and was told that it should work with virtual dj as well. However when i plug it into my laptop and set up the sound as stated in the wiki, im getting same sound out of both headphones and the speakers and not cue on headphones and normal sound on the speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Post a picture of your setup screen. I have the same cable and it works fine.

Please check in your computer's sound control panel and make sure that no sound enhancements such as virtual surround effect, reverb, etc. are enabled.
Virtual surround and similar enhancements will enhance watching movies, games and other surround content via headphones but as a result, they will cause some of the sound from the left channel to be heard on the right and vice-versa, which is not suitable for DJ'ing where you need each channel to be totally separate.
