Tópico: Vdj 7.3 Parametric EQ Settings

Thanks to Vdj team we now have parametric equalizer with version 7.3. So we are able to play with eq frequancies now.
The question is what would they be? I will try this weekend with different settings. GGCOM has already posted some information in 7.3 topic. For those who are interested, the complete topic in another forum is in below link. I would like you to share your experience and what works for you.

3 Band EQ's:

All DJM low: 70hz
Evo4 low: 200hz
X:42 low: 420hz
X4D low: 120hz
All Rane low: 300hz
DDM low: 330hz
My low: 180/200hz

All DJM mid: 1000hz
Evo4 mid: 1200hz
X:42 mid: 1200hz
X4D mid: 1400hz
All Rane mid: 1200hz
DDM mid: 1400hz
my mid: 1200hz

All DJM high: 13000hz
Evo4 high: 6500hz
X:42 high: 2700hz
X4D high: 10000hz
All Rane high: 4000hz
DDM high: 4200hz
my high: 5000hz



4 Band EQ's:

X:92 low: 100hz

X:92 low-mid: 250hz

X:92 high-mid: 2500hz

X:92 high: 10000hz

Thank you yucelsisman for this valueable information. I always has been very suspicious about Pioneers products. Expensive, crappy built and with a soundcolour that is so strange. They are like grown peoples toys, not built for people with a need to work as a professional. Muddy with no brightness. And everybody loves them!!! All the other mixers that you refers to is better for DJ-ing. I'm going to play with your numbers for my parametric EQ. Thank you again!!!
 
Parametric EQ setting are always going to come down to preference of the user as not everyone is the same. The default values in 7.3 are a good base to move up or down depending on the variables (sound card, speakers, etc) as setups are rarely the same.

Values that we found preferable as a team during the testing phase were 7500, 1350, 180. But of course they will not be for everyone. Best advise is to take some time to play with the values to find that sweet spot.
 
I like 7500/1350/120

120 doesn't muddy up the mid bass as much..
 
I agree that frequancies will depend on your own taste. Well, after an hour playing with EQ, here is my taste even i am not a pro.
Default values for 7.3 are 6500,1700,200

Highs: I usualy dont mess around with highs. So i would say keep it where ever works for you. I prefer to keep as default.

Mids: 1350 works for me as well.

Lows: I should thanks do dev team again here. At previous versions, i was having problem when i kill bass completely. It was so obvious when you kill bass completely during a breakdown, EQ also gets some portion of the mids (vocals) also. Now, it works great. I would say 180-200 works good enough for me.
