on a new ASUS Laptop with a 2nd gen i5. most videos play fine, but the .vix and many .mpg are choppy. the audio is fine, but video is messed up. i've tried every option in the registry. any ideas?

Everything work good on mine on the Friday before 7.3 release.
I updated to 7.3 and that when VIDEO Choppines, Freezing etc... occured.
Nothing changed at all on my machine (not even connected to Internet)
So i fiddle withRegistery settings, this is what i got.
If that ASUS has Nvidia card, try this:
On the Registry tool:
Check NVidiaFreezebug
VideoMemMax 256
My video card have 2GB RAM. I started trying 1024...512....and it seems like 256 was the sweet spot.
