so i have everything on virtual dj workingwith my numark mixdeck except when i slide my crossfader on my hardware it does nothing to the program at all so i always hear both songs... only way to cancel one out is to take my mouse and move the crossfader on the software

after looking at it i realized none of the knobs in the middle along with the crossfader are working with the software only the 2 side decks are working with the virtual dj software

This means that you don't have it configured correctly - Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/MixDeck.html
Unless your MixDeck came with VirtualDJ LE included, then you will also need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html (VirtualDJ LE can be optionally upgraded to the full Pro at a discount.)
NOTE: The mixer section of the MixDeck is not MIDI capable and cannot control VirtualDJ in any way (You won't see these controls moving on screen.) It's a standard audio DJ mixer with two MIDI decks either side of it.
