Tema: VDJ 7 - Does Not Exit / Close Properly

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

hello, can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong here?

when i close VDJ, it hangs and eventually i have to kill the process via Windows Task Manager. even then it doesn't truly close as it still appears as a running process.

Here's my setup:

- Windows 7 x64
- 8GB Ram
- AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 5000+ 2.61 Ghz
- Fast Track Pro
- Vestax VCI-100
- Akai MPD24

there are times when my midi controllers may not immediately be recognized by vdj. i have to go through this unplug, plug in, close, open, reboot process all the time! it's annoying. then when i finally get in, if i were to close the application, it just sits there.

any insight, fellas? thank you.

no..it's not that. it appears as if VDJ has a known midi controller issue. no one seems to be addressing this or have an answer as a work around.

SOME insight would be nice.

the application still shows in task manager long after it's been closed. attempting to end that process STILL does nothing. very strange.

Try to see if disconnecting the VCI (or the Fasttrack) prior closing VirtualDJ helps.

i've actually done this and it will freeze each time. maybe VDJ can only handle one or two midi inputs at a time?

i think it's the VCI-100, though. there are times when i start up...VDJ will hesitate...i'll turn off the VCI and immediately VDJ kicks in just fine. not sure. quite frustrating because my settings NEVER save since the application hangs instead of closing.

This may be a driver/firmware issue - This can be confirmed if when 'frozen' the software starts responding again when you either disconnect or switch off the VCI-100. Please check with the manufacturer for any firmware updates. There have been similar issues with a few other controllers that have been resolved by the manufacturer with a firmware update.

Also, if your computer has USB 3 ports, try using a powered USB 2.0 hub. Some older hardware has compatibility issues when used on USB 3 ports. See http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/MIDI%20Controller%20Not%20Working.html

Please also register your Pro serial number on your profile page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html - If you are using a version other than the latest official v7.3 downloaded directly from us then this may be part of your problems.

If you have not purchased VirtualDJ Pro then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html (Especially if you are working DJ and are making money as a result of using it at your gigs.)
