Transferred all from old lappy Toshiba Satellite e204 to SONY Vaio-E.
Matched Registry entries from old one.
All good and working, except audio was crackly and video stuttered and flickered....
In Device Manager, disabled that stupid ACPI-Compliant Battery checker ..... AUDIO NOW PERFECT.
In Registry, clicked [on] the VideoYV12Bug ..... Video now looks good.
I'm curious because the balloon description says that this was a bug found in "older" video cards, and this is the problem I'm having with the "new" machine.
I guess I can leave that checked, but does anyone know if there's any video degradation in doing so?
And why the error on a new PC ?
