Also would you usually plug your headphones into the mixer when using in conjunction with a numark 2 go.

New that mixer was to good to be true.

the dynacord powermate 600-3 however i just noticed that this mixer doesnt have a headphone socket

Oh yes it does! Well the one pictured on the product page of the Dynacord website does. It also has PFL buttons so you can cue properly.

Yeah it should cause that would be an almost worthless mixer without one, lol!

in options jog was set to cd/vinyl i changed it to cd, then tried to change it back to cd/vinyl but it would only let me have cd or vinyl.. strange

This just means that one deck is in CD mode and the other is vinyl (I.e: You probably toggled one of the decks with the old LOAD mapping.)

If it just says CD or Vinyl then it means both decks are in that mode.

Found the headphone socket

Charlie, to disable the jog wheels, go to the mapper of the Dj2Go and scroll and click on Jogwheel and delete the script that's in the box corresponding to it and leave it blank. I have done this also and it's easy to replace the script if you need it again.

Switching off vinyl mode as previously advised is a better and simpler option and doesn't require messing around with deleting mappings (Which in this case would prevent you from being to cue up the track and set cue points.)

Another alternative is to change the mapping to:

play ? nothing : jogwheel

This will enable the jogwheel to work normally when the song's paused and disables it when playing.

I have a small controller called the Pioneer DDJ-WeGO. I have had it for several weeks, updated the firmware, installed the Asio Driver on my pc, installed the updated software from virtualdj.com, and have had issues with the cut effect included with the software. Every time I use the cut effect while one song is playing and another isn't playing, the track on the song that is playing will slow down. When I play both songs, the cut effect does not slow down the tracks of either song while it is in use. Why is this happening???

@sharkhead64, please do not hijack this thread. Your problem has nothing to do with the topic. Please start your own thread.

I mean it kinda does, its a small controller

Ok so I have my regular sized controller, my Numark Mixtrack (which I'm looking to replace). But I'd also like to have a small controller that I can fit into a backpack or something when I'm testing out a setup or place in which I'm going to be DJing at. I'm looking at things like the Numark DJ2Go, Behringer CMD Micro, Icon iDJ, or anything else that size. Price range: under $100. What do you guys think is the best?

Well I shutter when I make this suggestion its right under your 100.00 price mark by a mere one cent piece 99.99

http://www.amazon.com/Stanton-SC-System-DJ-Control/dp/B002TP500E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1380419599&sr=8-1&keywords=stanton+dj+system

Or try your luck on Ebay one complete unit with tractor just recently sold for a mere 56 bucks, which Stanton will give you a key code for VDJ LE. If you happen to own such a device that was for tractor..

I only say this because it seems to function best with the Le version. either the mappers in pro over ride it or I am doing something horridly wrong.

Either way. For a back up unit or just something to put in your back pack to play around with.. it is pretty cool... if you can get past a few things...

I would choose it the other options as it can do so much.. in pro version i feel it is only held back by my lazyiness to midi map it the way I would want it. Just saying.. So many ways to customize it to your specifications its unreal and since its modular you can mess with it how ever you want or use it simultaneously with a different controller and you program it to do functions such as samplers etc.. really the limit is your in your head and the time you are willing to dedicate to it!

Just my two cents.

Been having a play tonight, I was board.

Actually it was the first time I plugged my Dynacord 600-3 in since buying it 2 months ago, don't know where my enthusiasm has gone.

Anyway a few concerns and things I could use some help with, first one, how in hell do you stop the sync button from flashing to the bloody beat! lol.

At first I thought it was like play/pause when paused it flashes i.e. when sync is on it flashes, seems it just flashes all the time and serves no real purpose other than to annoy. I mapped the Numark to go sync button to beatlock, you wont believe it but I've never used it before I always just used sync and pitch buttons although VDJ never really lines up right and if you go by the wave its wrong most of the time unless you use this beatlock and then the wave is alined and it sounds good, anyway you all know this already, Told you I was board.

Question is, beatlock activated by pressing sync, how can I have it so that when I press sync again it turns beatlock off?

By default, a button mapped to sync will flash its LED based on the peaks in the waveform. You can disable this by mapping LED_SYNC separately to nothing (If LED_SYNC is not present in the list of mappings, click + to add a mapping and then choose LED_SYNC in the key drop-down list.)

If you wish to have the SYNC button toggle beatlock, then simply map it to beatlock

Alternatively, map SYNC to holding ? beatlock : sync and map LED_SYNC to beatlock - This will then sync if you click the button and toggle beatlock if you hold the button and release it. The LED will be on when beatlock is active.

Thank you for the advice, I stopped the flashing sync buttons :)

I would like sync to activate beatlock and for the sync button to remain illuminated, once you press sync again beatlock is deactivated and the sync button is de-illuminated.

don't want to hold.

I notice that when beatlock is activated you can't alter the speed of the music by adjusting the pitch slider, it it possible to set it so that when beatlock is activated you can adjust the speed still but only by adjusting the playing deck pitch slider.

That's how beat lock works, try moving the pitch slider of the opposite deck you activated beat lock on. ;-)

And map the led for the sync to beat lock and it should go on/off how you want.

NO,

Read my message again, here it is re-worded again.

I notice that when beatlock is activated you can't alter the speed of the music output deck, only the cueing deck.

Can this be made the other way round?

Hears another one for you.

I have the pitch buttons set to loop in/out, can I also have them set so that when their held down for 2 seconds they become rewind/fast forward buttons?

You would have to activate on the deck That's playing out then. I don't believe it works the other way around.

I think the script would be something like "holding 200ms ? Loop_in : rewind"
I'm doing this on my phone and from memory so you'll have to play around with it or just hit up the wiki.
