Sorry guys bit of a thicko question! As one who is extremely nervous of downloading new versions or updates of any software until at least 3 months after release can you tell me if I download this pre release of V8 will it effect my version 7? I.E. does it replace it or is it a totally separate download allowing me to use either version. Sorry for question but I have two important gigs coming up this weekend and must be crystal clear on this. Many thanks.

It installs next to v7. So no, it won't affect your V7 installation.
