Tema: How can I create a new database w/o reference to the 7.4

I would like to have all tracks rescanned w/ new and all cue points cleared out. So any leftover issues w/ flaky gain scanning won't mess up 8.

Just delete the 8 database then temporarily move or rename your 7 database so that 8 doesn't see it when it starts.

If i understood well, you need to start with a clean database for version 8 and not take into account the version 7 ones on first launch.
If that is the case, then you need to remove the version 6 database files from MyDocuments/virtualDJ folder and the also in the root folders of all your External Hard Drives.
It is of course suggested to backup them instead of deleting them, as you will not be able to use them with version 7 :)
As above, you can also rename them instead of moving/backup.

Once removed (backed up), you will also need to remove/delete the following..
- the database.xml file from MyDocuments/VirtualDJ folder
- the MyDocuments/VirtualDj/Folders folder
- the /VirtualDJ folder at the root directory of each of your External Hard Drives
Then launch VirtualDj 8.

This is what I did...

WAY too much to sort through, in my opinion so I started fresh. Just renamed all of my old files to "old".

VDJ8 is running MUCH better now.

Sometimes a fresh start is all what the dr ordered. Still, 7 plays like nothing happened.
