It does make me laugh when people complain about high CPU
I'm running a 2*1.6GHz 2GB machine (shared with the GPU!!) but I'm VERY particular about services and processes.
Maybe my machine is so rubbish that it doesn't bother with the heavy processing stuff?!

as i ( ironically ) mentioned before:
some systems work flawless even with mid or low hardware specs...
did a lot of TV sessions on "DJ Laptops" with all kind of Games/ FB/ ICQ/ and tons of other additional Software on it ...
that´s the way you can slow down a fast machine to slow one too .. :-)
But for now... gents ...lets go back to topic :-)

You can run 7 and 8 on the same computer. If It works for us, it should work for you and everyone else. We all have the same software, only different computers.
Except you need to make sure that any effects or transitions for 7 are not there when you use 8. Otherwise you could end up with a black screen on x fade or crashing VDJ 8.

My bet, 90% of all VDJ useres don't use an optimized system.

Yes I realise that, but we're talking about Virtual DJ. In most cases, DJs prefer to run only VDJ on their system to keep it stripped down. :-)

Youd be right if your talking about me. Havent EVER done anything to my Mac or PC and they both run VDJ quite well, lol!
