Beattap Is not working in Virtual DJ 8 and Mac!

You mean Reloop Beatpad right ?
Please do the following..
0. Make sure VirtualDJ is updated to the current build.
1. Post a Screenshot of CONFIG-->CONTROLLERS tab
2. Set the setting createMidiLog to yes (from Advanced Options). Close, relaunch with the Beatpad connected and close VirtualDj again. Post here the content of the Log report.txt file you will find in Documents/VirtualDj folder.

Negative, I am talking about beat_tap function to manually correct the grid of some some music genres that VirtualDJ can not detect properly in the skin or the script for beat_tap.

I reported this as a bug and they said that it works the way it was designed. I don't get it but that is what I was told.
Tap on the button and it either does nothing or is all over the place.

beat_tap as an action works fine here.. and the TAP buttons on the skins do the same job.
Not sure why it doesnt work for you. You just press the button at least 4 times and the song manually gets the tempo of your taps.

I have the same problems with the beat_tap button you have reported too!!

djdad, I will make a video.
It absolutely does not work. If you keep tapping, the bpm goes crazy. It eventually goes down to 40BPM and then starts counting up from there.
I will get you a video when I get home.
Again, another Mac issue.

I don't know how to fix my beat_tap. I can sort of tap a new tempo but the markers are all wrong. with VDJ7 i could tap once to get the downbeat, but since changing to VDJ8 that function has stoped. I now have to stop the tune and find the down beat and then tap.
I'm using a stanton djc.4 controller.
can anyone help me?
