Master sound and headphone sound is jacked up. High lows and mids when turned all the way down only muffle sound not turn them down. kill switches for high mids and lows also do nothing.

Change the setting EqualizerMode to Kill (from Config->Options tab - Advanced Settings), if you wish the equalizer to operate like in version 7.
Not sure what u mean by "..not syncing properly ... " . Are you using 2 sound cards (built-in and Hercules) for Master and Headphones ? Can you explain further ?
