I was thinking about giving V8 a run this weekend at a lounge that I working at, however I'm still very worried about the pending heat issues from the overdraw. (Even reducing the FPS from 30>20 in the past has caused my laptop to become a frying pan.)
I haven't let the newer versions (ie. betas) run for a long period of time on the laptop, so I wanted to ask everyone here what the consensus was. Reading through the release notes of the builds indicates fixes, however how well have those fixes been implemented?

previous build ok, current build 1855.704 ....it has returned!
