Tema: Virtual DJ 8 using to much CPU

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I have been trying all type of settings in virtual DJ 8, and can't figure out why VDJ8 is using so much CPU. I noticed it when I was playing one song and went to load another song. The song that was playing started to drag and try to speed up and then drag again, upon how the other song was analyzing. Why is this? No matter if I have my controller connected or not the CPU stays in red. I also have no other programs nor internet running only Virtual DJ.

Specs:
Windows 7
2gb ram
processor: AMD E-900 APU

Noticed big cpu loads here too.

When I run v8, my cpu NEVER gets under 50% usage.

Average 60% system, 1% audio. When ONE track is loaded but NOT PLAYING.

v7 was eating much less cpu than that.

Do you really have this CPU? I don't even find a reference for AMD e-900.

And I don't know if the AMD E-series is a good choice for a DJ application.

It will be a 450, they were the only ones that mention 900 when I did a quick search.

Yes I do have this CPU. I'm using a Toshiba Laptop, and it worked great with VDJ7 at 64ms latency, Serato DJ, Mixvibes, and Traktor, so it's perfectly fine for DJ applications

Have you tried changing "skinFPS" to a lower value? The default is 30. Try 25.

To find: OPTIONS--->SKIN--->skinFPS 30

I found that a good balance right now is 16 FPS. (15 shows too many interface stutters, 16 is nearly on par with V7.)

I found a solution that helps me. I just got the ns7iii. But I been experiencing high cpu with 8.2 I just upgraded from version 7. Cpu was not an issue. With 8.2 the screen and sound would freeze when I loaded my next song. After doing a lot of research for the last 2 days.

I found out that if I go into OPTIONS and go to SONGLOADPRIORITY change the setting to IDLE. VDJ will load the song slower than normal but at the same time the Cpu wouldn't go all the way to 100% to cause the screen or music to freeze.

I really hope this help a lot of us
