To incorporate a timer on the edit screen to show you where you were in track time wise. That way maybe enable you to clean between say 2.45 minutes and 2.47 minutes more easily

I'm not sure but I would guess that the track cleaner window doesn't display cue points or POIs.
This would be one way of indicating where the cuss words are.
When you play the track on a normal deck, create a cue (etc) whenever you hear an unwanted word. Then when opening the cleaner window, the points would still be visible and indicate where to edit.
