Tópico: Pioneer DDJ-RZ compatibility? - Page: 2

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hello. Does anybody know if ddj-rz or ddj rx can be used in external mixer mode configuration with vdj8 ? Thanks.

DDJ-RZ can be used in external mixer mode.
DDJ-RX cannot. It can only be used with software mixer

Only the Z series has the ability to be used in 'external mixer' mode. The X series has to be used in 'master/headphones' mode.

As stated earlier in this thread, the R versions are not currently supported natively in VDJ 8. They are Rekordbox DJ controllers.

If you want a unit to use with VDJ, choose the S versions (SX/SX2/SZ). They are almost identical to the R versions.

Received a Pioneer DDJ-RZ...happy to assist with developing a MIDI mapper.

@PhantomDeejay...PM sent :-)

Pioneer do say you can 'force' the controller for general MIDI mapping regardless of whether Rekordbox is running or not.

See page 24 of the RZ manual under 'Changing the Settings', 'Utilities Mode' - 'Forcefully using the unit as a general MIDI controller". There are a bunch of other settings that can be configured as well.

Power ON while holding the 'Shift' and 'Play/Pause" button, release the buttons, then press 'Master Tempo' button on left deck (red light need to be on), then switch controller off to save setting.

You don't need to "force" the unit on "General MIDI" mode. If Rekordbox is not running the unit will automatically fall back to "General MIDI"
However "General MIDI" has some limitations that we are trying to resolve.
Thank you!

hi Guys Im Still Waiting For The DDJ-RZ Mapper :) lolol

Hi Guys, no news about this mapper?

Thanks,

Kaléo.

Any mappers?

No mapper needed. Support is built in (as can be seen from the Supported Controllers page of the VDJ wiki).
