When you are bringing new song in, do you typically hit the play button on controller or release the jogwheel on beat? From a timing perspective, starting to have more success with cueing jogwheel and releasing on the one.

Play button, since changing from vinyl to CD in the mid 80s. The last time I brought tracks in any other way was holding the vinyl on my SL1200's :-)

You can also set the CUE button to "CUP Inverted" mode (from Deck Options-->Buttons Behavior) and play the track when the button is released.
