Hi
Having this issue I do not know how long have been because as many dj... large files are not very common... This happens to me no mater if it is an audio or video file. When the file length is very large, more than 30 minutes this continuous drop sound can be heard after 10 seconds. I think the problem may be some buffering problem . If I configure maxpreloadlength to -1 the problem dissapears.
My system
Windows 10 64bit latest version updated.
Virtual DJ updated to latest versión. V8.2 b4202
Denon MCX8000 latest fw.
Asus G551J
I7-4710hq
16GB RAM
480GB Crucial SSD
Nvidia gtx850M / Intel Graphics (happens with both video adapters)
Tested with a file stored in the SSD and on an external HDD with same behaviour.
Hope you can solve it in next versions...
Best regards. Manu

Hi!
Have done more test and it seems that only happens with mcx8000 controller. With other controller this problem does not happen.
This is a sample of the problem

As I suspected, the "sound" you're getting is nothing at all like the recording of a stylus being knocked across vinyl.
It's probably due to your audio buffer size being set too low.

Hi
This happens with maxpreloadlength set to automatic mode. It can be seen "Automatic(33)".
Think that maybe is something related with the mcx8000 screens. Maybe the way the waveform is sent could make this unexpected noise. Maybe some developer could check it to solve.

The maxpreloadlength is nothing to do with your audio buffer. You need to try increasing the amount of milliseconds that your audio (ASIO?) driver uses.
