I upgraded from virtualdj 7 to the latest version for my windows 10 laptop. Everything seems to be working fine except for my up and down volume sliders are not working. The crossfader works. I have a Denon MC6000.

When you say "not working" you mean that when you move the physical fader, the on-screen one doesn't move?
If so, this is perfectly normal when the controller is used in "int mix" mode. The on-screen mixer is not required when you are using the real one in the MC6000.
Please take time to read the manual for your controller, and the MC6000 VDJ setup guide.
