Since v8150 I never saw VDJ exit cleanly
Even it seems to exit, no more icon, no more reference in task manager, restarting VDJ says already running
An old bad well known "waiting for network I/O" in request queue

Are you using any network drives/virtual drives with custom drivers or anything like that?

May be consider something like that... No custom driver, but bad network most of the time.
I use WIFI/4G connection through an Android Phone plugged in USB - stock rom - for two raisons : SIM authentification to WIFI; in a way to keep the PC see network up even when one or both disapear; to prevent rescanning of devices everytime network fails & restart.
There is no cloud drive enable or any network drive but what VDJ is using if any.
The only one "Custom" driver can be Coolsoft MidiMapper which does raise error dialogs for years at every start of midi/devices scanning in VDJ 32bit - fixed for some time and comes back last year. VDJ 64bits does not have this issue and opens it correctly
