I just downloaded VDJ to my MAC and it won't open. It says it opened but won't show on screen.

First try restart the mac, in case of some frozen process.
And if still no luck, try delete settings.xml in /documents/virtualdj/ then start the software.
And also, looks like you are on an extremely old macOS, would be worth upgrading ;-)
