It seems like ever since I update to the 2021 version it’ll crash on me when I first load it after powering my laptop on. After that it seems to be ok. Anyone else having this issue?

external drive perhaps?
that is a bit troublesome to "wake up" at first run..
Could perhaps be other start up items you have chosen.
Can always try also to rename settings.xml in /documents/virtualdj/ and see if that gets rid of any start up issues
But if you meant first song load, then its probably not settings, but maybe the drive its loading from.
Or the graphic card not initializing well first stems generation.
You can try set mathengine to disabled in VDJ settings, and see if that gets rid of your issue, to check if its the graphic card (if so, try update the drivers)

Also looks like you are using old version, so perhaps update ;-)
Been lots of important fixes since then, that might actually address one of the possible issues (Nvidia)
