I would like to upgrade my VirtualDJ , I have it in my computer and I occasionally use it for home celebrations and mostly for Karaoke, I tried to buy the new home version and it request to select a controller , since I use it for Karaoke, I feel I don't a need a controller, is this Controller mandatory?

The home edition is is FREE for home use, without a controller. (just download and have fun) *and of course tell everyone how much fun you are having
One only needs to pay, if one wants to use a controller. So when you chose to buy.. it is asking you which controller you would like.
