I use an Akai midimix for more channel control, and when I updated VDJ tonight it stopped working. I went back a version, and it works again, but I am kind of concerned that a pretty much generic MIDI device stopped working on the new version. My clue that my mixer wasn't broken was it still worked in Ableton.
If anyone's got some suggestions, cool, if not this is kind of a bug report to keep track of people having a similar issue.

update to the latest Build again. Once it's up and running, let it run for a few seconds, then re-open. See if your "simple Midi" device works again.
