You can't. It is what it is. In my 40 years as DJ I have never worked with one with AFL so I think 99% off all mixers are made like that.

Many mixers offer a knob to choose between hearing PFL and master in the headphones.
Within VDJ this is also available on the mixer tab (called "MIX")
