Tema: Virtual DJ 2024
please
Updated the Sample Editor (to synchronize the loop correctly) urgently.
Track Editor update (remove Kick, remove Instru)
Grid Editor update (multiple anchor points without interfering with already marked points)
Waveform with 32 beat counter
When installing VDJ for the first time, the automatic synchronization options create difficulties for new users, leaving it disabled is a better option if possible.

I use Virtual DJ a lot with a lot of new DJs, I work at a DJ school in Brazil, so I have a lot of requests from students and things that I know can improve for the end user. I personally have been using Virtual DJ since 2005.

If a developer is reading this please release a native version for Linux eg. Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. The ALSA sound driver is so much more powerful and clear than on Windows, plus there is less resources hogging the CPU...

And not everyone has OSX 15 or Windows 11...

Keep free software available for all :)

  1. Please do not highjack posts for your own topics if they are unrelated to the original topic/posts under it - create your own topic
  2. VirtualDJ is not free software in the sense that Linux distros are (VirtualDJ is still proprietary)
  3. Linux has no drivers or support for virtually all professional controllers that would be considered.

Many users of VirtualDJ use Linux distributions a regular basis (I'm one of them). However you have to be realistic with the ideas - Linux isn't really on the radar where it matters in terms of the DJ industry. You'll much quicker see a full version released for Android/iOS because the general demand/use cases are there.

88% of the market does use either Windows (73%) or MacOS (15%).

Poor old Linux is down at 4.5%

Obviously software companies tend to cater for the majority.
